We were recommended by a family friend to use a consultant when deciding to adopt so I took to google and reached out to a few consultants. Within minutes of speaking with Amy we instantly connected. A few of the other consultants I spoke with made me feel like we had to fit in their certain "box" and they treated us as numbers going through their very formal screening questions. Once we were home study approved we saw cases instantly and we saw a lot through Amy and her team! EXPERTISE: People tell you that the adoption process is a lot, but you have no idea until you are in it. Amy and her team are so knowledgeable on the tiny nuances from the overall process, to getting home study approved, designing a profile book, applying to agencies, to presenting to families, matching with a birth mom, ICPC, literally everything! It was amazing going through such an intense process and truly not having to worry about all the details because they handled it, coached us through it, or set us up for success before we even knew we needed to be! QUALITY OF PROCESS AND SERVICE: Amy and Hello Baby do everything with a high quality standard and I really think this played a huge part in our ability to match. Our home study provider was shocked at how prepared we were and it made that piece of our process move as quickly as possible. Our profile design was like something out of a magazine, seriously, I still can't believe how much I love it. Amy and her team work with professional vendors and they were able to capture our personalities perfectly for birth moms to see. It gave us confidence each time we sent to potential cases. EMOTIONAL SUPPORT: THIS WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!! People also tell you that the adoption process is a journey of ups and downs, but nothing could have prepared us for this part of the process. We would have hired Amy and her team for solely for their emotional support and nothing else. The amount of times I called or texted Amy just to vent, cry, or have someone who understood what I was going through talk to us was worth every penny. In addition, whenever there was a case, Amy was always available to talk through all the details and emotions with us on if we should present and she helped us with our letters to birth mom. Again, these conversations were not 5 minutes they were time intensive and Amy never made us feel rushed and made us feel like we were her only client which I know is not true, but the way she supported us was truly above and beyond. I feel like words do not do justice for the gratitude I have for this portion of their service. I tell Amy to this day her fee is underselling all that her and Hello Baby offers. I would have paid triple for what her and her team did for us on our journey! I feel like even as I've written all of this it is still not enough to capture how truly grateful we are to Amy and her team for helping us on the journey to bringing home our baby girl!
