We structure the adoption process into four phases.

We know what you are going through, and we understand how difficult it can be. The domestic adoption journey can be overwhelming and at times very confusing. Hello Baby is here to help solve these problems. We make the adoption process much easier to understand and manage by providing personal support to you and your family throughout the entire journey. Here’s what to expect:

Our Four Phases

Phase One

You will be assigned a consultant who will be by your side and offer continued support from the moment you begin until the finalization of your adoption.

You will learn the adoption process and become a pro at understanding the essentials: the language, the requirements, and the costs, including resources that might ease the burden.
You will be educated on a number of different topics, especially preferences, so that you can make informed decisions about your journey.
You will complete a home study. Your consultant will provide you with referrals to home study agencies, detailed information about what to expect and personalized support.
You will create an adoption profile book with the help of a professional designer. This is a mission-critical piece of connecting with expectant mothers.

Phase Two

You consultant will provide you with personalized agency referrals with reputable adoption agencies based on your family’s preferences and budget for you to apply with directly.
You will have the opportunity to present to expectant mother cases sent directly to Hello Baby from agencies and attorneys.
You will have regular access to our expertise and advice when making important decisions about presenting your profile book for consideration to an expectant mother case.

Phase Three

Once matched, your consultant will continue to provide you with support and help you navigate your relationship with the expectant parents and the agency or attorney you are working with.
You will receive travel advice and tips in preparation for the birth of the baby from your consultant.
Your consultant will make sure you understand expectant mother’s hospital plan and the relinquishment timeline.
You will be continually supported through the birth of the baby, the hospital stay and ICPC approval if applicable.

Phase Four

You will bring your baby home!
Your family will enter a period called “post-placement”. Your consultant will help guide you through this time period, before the adoption is legally finalized. As a part of our support, your consultant will help you prepare for legal finalization so that you can take the necessary steps to complete the process.
We will celebrate with you as you legally become parents!
